ENGINE 2901
Engine 2901 is a 2006 _. E-2901 is Rosenhayn's "first-out" engine for fire responses. This engine was purchased new in 2006 thanks to funding received from the Department of Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighter's Grant Program.
E-2901 carries a crew of six (6), 1000 gallons of water, 40 gallons of Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF), gas detection meters, portable lighting, rescue equipment and a thermal imaging camera (TIC) that is used to locate victims in a fire emergency.
Tanker 2902 is a 2000 _. T-2902 is a combination Tanker / Pumper and carries 2,000 gallons of water, a crew of six firefighters, portable tanks, and other additional firefighting equipment.
In areas such as Deerfield where we do not have fire hydrants, this unit is necessary for an initial fire attack. This unit was purchased new in 2000.
RESCUE 2921
Rescue 2921 is a 1990 Ford Hackney Medium Rescue Vehicle that is well equipped to handle a multitude of specialized rescue needs.
This unit carries a crew of six, and has the latest in Hurst "Jaws of Life" rescue equipment as well as airbags, and a mobile cascade unit. The cascade unit is capable of filling air bottles for firefighters on location of an emergency.
AMBULANCE 2926
Ambulance 2926 is a 1994 Ford E-350 PL Custom Ambulance. This unit was purchased new in 1994 and remains in service as one of two Basic Life Support (BLS) units that respond out of Station 29.
AMBULANCE 2927
Ambulance 2927 is a 2005 Ford E-350 RoadRescue Ambulance. This ambulance replaced an aging 1984 Ford Ambulance. This unit is well equipped to handle medical emergencies within Deerfield Township and our mutual aide companies.
In addition to providing Basic Life Support (BLS), this unit is specifically set up for firefighter rehabilitation in the event of a fire or other hazardous condition where our personnel may be at risk.
COMMAND 2951
Command 2951 is a 2001 Ford Expedition that serves as our command vehicle. This unit is equipped with a command console, multiple radios, telephone and two-way communications to support command activities.
C-2951 features a remote receiver for the Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC) used by firefighters to locate victims and evaluate fire conditions. This remote receiver allows the officer in charge to see the thermal images from the TIC from outside the building. The TIC also transmits data relative to the temperature within the building.
FOAM 29
Foam 29 is a specialized unit that was awarded to the Rosenhayn Fire and Rescue as part of the 2005 Domestic Preparedness Grant program through Cumberland County and the State of New Jersey. This mobile foam unit is very unique and will carry 660 gallons of Alcohol Resistant Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AR-AFFF) and will be available to respond to incidents requiring large quantities of AFFF throughout southern New Jersey and even surrounding states if needed. This unit was custom built by Cottrell Associates, Combat Support Products Division located in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.
